All organs can be examined using ultrasound. Ultrasound can only recognize fluid-filled or sufficiently dense organs. Air becomes an insurmountable obstacle for such waves. That is why, so that such an environment does not interfere, a special ultrasonic gel is applied outside. For the same internal organs that are filled with air, ultrasound is, in principle, impossible.
With the help of ultrasound, any pathology can be determined. Ultrasound can only see anatomical changes and only in certain tissues, as already mentioned. Such research is unable to detect functional disorders. And the phrase that "no ultrasound pathology was detected" does not at all guarantee that everything is in order with health.
Ultrasound can be done before the doctor's examination or even refuse the latter. It should be understood that ultrasound is only an additional examination. It is worth going there with a presumptive diagnosis in hand. But it can be placed only after the examination of the patient by a doctor and questioning. To do an ultrasound just for the sake of interest and not knowing what to look for, there is no point. The examiner will not know what to look for. And before the doctor's examination, you can only do "ultrasound in dynamics". It implies an already known diagnosis, when it is necessary to identify the changes that have occurred.

Uterine pregnancy can be clearly seen on ultrasound, starting from 7-10 days of delay. And there are several reasons. Ultrasound should be done no more than three times during the entire pregnancy. This myth appeared because people do not understand where the limitation of three ultrasounds came from. In fact, this is not a rigid norm, but simply the minimum number of examinations that are required to fully monitor the course of pregnancy. Scientists have identified the timing at which potential problems with the fetus can be identified. It is believed that the first ultrasound scan is best done at 10-12 weeks, the second at 20-24 weeks, and the third from 32 to 36 weeks. But by agreement with the doctor, additional examinations may be needed, there is nothing to worry about.
Better to do a three-dimensional ultrasound. It seems to us that any new technology is preferable and more accurate than the old one. But every uzist, considering the device from the point of view of obtaining a result, for some reason always tends to a traditional, two-dimensional ultrasound, with a black and white picture. A three-dimensional ultrasound allows you to examine in detail all parts of the body of the future man, which makes the determination of gender unambiguous. 3D ultrasound allows parents to see how the baby stretches, yawns and sucks his fingers. Who will refuse such an opportunity, even if you have to pay for it? But from the point of view of medicine, three-dimensional ultrasound does not bring practical benefits in comparison with two-dimensional.
Three-dimensional ultrasound is a must for all parents-to-be. Nowadays, not all medical institutions have the equipment necessary for carrying out such a procedure, especially in public clinics. Even in private institutions that specialize in gynecology and obstetrics, an ultrasound scanner with powerful computer equipment is not always present. The same centers that offer a 3D ultrasound service charge an additional fee. I must say that such a service is quite in demand, because in its process it is proposed to record a video on a disc, so that it can then be shown to a grown-up child. Whether it is necessary is the personal choice of the parents, there is no medical indication for conducting just such an ultrasound.
A three-dimensional ultrasound is done in the same way as a two-dimensional one. In fact, there are still a few differences. The main thing is the image quality, as already reported above. And the time required for the examination is a little more. If in the traditional case it takes about 15 minutes, then a three-dimensional ultrasound will take from half an hour to 50 minutes.
