All parents know that choosing things for a child is quite difficult. After all, I want the baby to feel comfortable and comfortable in clothes (preferably beautiful and emphasizing his individuality). In addition, I would like the purchased item to be resistant to multiple washings, not to lose color and shape. And somehow I can't believe that this is possible - after all, we remember very well that literally ten to fifteen years ago, clothes for children quickly faded, deformed, and one could only dream of a variety of models. These memories serve as fertile ground for the growth of a considerable number of myths, which a few years ago were reality, but now they are completely untrue. We will try to destroy some of the stereotypes of thinking and established ideas about children's clothing.
Warm clothes for a child must be thick. Misconception. Indeed, in our time, fabric production technologies have stepped far forward. For example, the thickness of clothing can be reduced by using fibers that respond to changes in ambient temperature (within five degrees) for sewing, and special coatings that protect against wind and moisture eliminate the need to over-seal products.
The child does not need white clothes - it will get dirty anyway. This is not entirely true. Firstly, not all children are slovens and dirty. Secondly, it should be remembered that white is a must for your child (especially in summer). After all, it is these clothes that most effectively reflect the sun's rays, protecting the child from overheating.
White will not remain white. There are many bleaching agents, after which the clothes acquire a simply shining whiteness. However, it should be remembered that bleaches can cause allergies, so things that have been processed with them must be thoroughly rinsed several times.
Baby clothes fade quickly. Not if you choose the right detergent and don't buy cheap and low-quality baby clothes. It should be remembered that modern technologies for dyeing fabrics allows color not only to cover the fiber from the outside, but also to penetrate inside. Therefore, your baby's clothes will remain as bright and attractive even after dozens of washes.
Due to frequent washing, children's clothes are deformed. To prevent this from happening, you should opt for clothing consisting of a combination of 92-95% cotton and 5-8% elastane. Such a fabric, in the manufacture of which a special technology of twisting of cotton fiber was used, is comfortable to wear, holds its shape well, retains color, provides excellent air exchange and absorbs moisture well.
Children's clothes cannot be beautiful and suitable for the figure. Modern designers create various silhouettes for both slender and rather well-fed kids. And the use of such elements as additional sleeve length, belt adjustment, fasteners that remove (or add) the width of the product allow, without changing the silhouette, to make clothes suitable for a child of any size.
Dressing a child fashionably is simply impossible. Completely erroneous opinion. Designers take into account the desire of children to be smart and, preferably, like adults. Therefore, the models created by them, different in style and design, are able to satisfy even the most sophisticated taste.
You can wash baby clothes with any powder. Some detergents can cause allergies in babies, therefore, special children's varieties of well-known powders should be selected for washing (preferably, not too flavored - the perfume can cause a child's irritability, and sometimes provoke a headache). Use a fabric softener to keep the garments soft and fresh.
The color of children's clothes does not matter. Scientists have proven that the color of clothing affects the body, behavior and even the development of the child's intelligence. For example, the color of the fabric, consisting of bright stripes, circles, squares, like red clothing, most often has a disturbing effect. Blue clothes have a calming effect, yellow ones help increase curiosity, green ones give self-confidence. Most children prefer brightly colored clothes, rejecting gray or brown shades. However, one cannot simply blindly follow one or another rule - after all, the perception of the world is individual for each child, and what is good for one is completely unacceptable for another. For example, bright red has a calming effect on some people, while green is depressing. Therefore, when choosing children's clothes, try to feel what your child likes and what does not. Observe how his behavior changes in clothes of one color or another. Only in this case can you deduce a number of your own rules that you can safely follow when buying things for a child.
First of all, clothes for a baby should be beautiful and bright. In clothes for babies, the most important thing is still quality and comfort, and brightness and originality are secondary things. Therefore, when choosing clothes, be sure to consider that:
- There should be no sharp corners on the tags and tags;
- The cut and fabric of children's clothes should provide the baby with maximum comfort;
- Children's summer clothes must be made of natural fabrics, preferably light colors;
- A place for using a diaper must be provided in children's clothing. And the clasps between the legs and the clasps in the front of the clothes are designed to facilitate changing a diaper.
