At school, any person is taught not only to write, but to do it beautifully. Calligraphy is part of the visual arts, only symbols are the object here.

You can learn to write beautifully if you just want to. As practice shows, problems are usually far-fetched, and delusions can always be debunked.

A person with poor handwriting cannot do calligraphy. There is an important thing to understand. Calligraphy is an art, not regular writing. In life, most calligraphers have expressionless and even downright bad handwriting. It is not necessary to have a clear and beautiful writing of the text to start studying. If the calligraphic symbols are beautiful, it doesn't matter what the handwriting is like in everyday life. For the master, the pen is a magic wand. With due diligence, it will allow you to create beautiful letters that were difficult to imagine before.

Calligraphy is expensive. One song says that not having the opportunity to buy a Ferrari for himself may well ride it. The analogy can be traced with calligraphy. You can spend as much money on this hobby as possible. The minimum starter kit is only $ 25. Can the size of this amount interfere with the desire to practice calligraphy? Those who have been doing this for a long time have their own large selection of tools. But there is no doubt that the bulk of the devices are used extremely rarely, and the rest of the time they just lie in the box.

Calligraphy can only be done by right-handers. This statement is ridiculous in its absurdity. It's just that those who write with their right hand (and they are the majority), in principle, do not understand how left-handed people do it. It is easier to assume that they cannot do calligraphy than to admit their capabilities and their limitations. In fact, it is even easier for left-handers to practice calligraphy. Right-handers have to put additional pressure on the pen, but for left-handers this is not difficult. Those who want to take up calligraphy should not think about the working hand, but about the attitude to achieve the goal. It's worth experimenting and trying different handle grips. Sometimes it's worth deviating from the canons and trying your own options. By the way, special calligraphy pens are produced especially for left-handers.

Calligraphy requires a fountain pen. A nib pen is a very individual thing. Finding the ideal option for yourself is rather difficult. Plus, there can be many reasons not to buy a pen. Maybe the person is not ready yet; safety considerations in the house with the child will become a barrier. Permanent ink can stain carpet too. And not everyone can decide to spend money on a set with a fountain pen. Calligraphy should be perceived as just an opportunity to create beautiful symbols. And this can be done without professional tools, but with the help of ordinary brushes and pens.

Fountain pens are only needed for calligraphy. For those who are not interested in the illustration, this statement will prove to be true. But for really creative people who don't get hung up on calligraphy, there are other uses for fountain pens. With a calligraphy pen and watercolor ink, you can create strikingly clear designs.

Once you've learned calligraphy, you can write on any paper surface. This statement is only partly true. Much depends on paper and ink. Not every pen can be matched to specific paper. If you try to write something on a regular paper bag, the ink will flow. The paper will absorb them well, which will form an unnecessary mesh around the letters. It is worth trying to find other ink. Some will be absorbed even better, but the acrylic version will not be absorbed so much and will look good. So calligraphy is possible on any paper, but this will require careful selection of tools.

To learn calligraphy, you must attend specialized courses. Strictly speaking, there is no particular point in the courses. You can learn everything with the help of book manuals or the Internet. There are many resources available to help you learn the art of beautiful writing. However, many of the benefits are free. So does it make sense to spend money on some courses? You can at least go to YouTube and watch some video tutorials on this issue.

Calligraphic envelopes will not be delivered. Don't think beautiful writing is so useless. The address written with calligraphy will be understood by the post office and delivered where indicated. You just need to accurately fill in all the required fields. If one of them is missed, the letter will be returned back, even if it was signed in regular font.

Calligraphy looks appropriate in official documents. Usually, however, such a spelling is used in unofficial papers - birthday cards, invitations. But in official documents, it is still recommended to deviate from a beautiful spelling. Nevertheless, calligraphy slightly distorts the inscription and impairs its readability due to its aesthetics. In the documents, however, it is required that the words be understood by everyone.

A calligraphy kit is enough for a beginner. This set contains everything that, in the opinion of an inexperienced person, is needed to practice calligraphy. In fact, only an ink-pot is useful, and a vessel with mastic for printing. The brushes have a poorly trimmed bristle, it is hard and does not lie well. Such a tool will not be able to draw a thin, straight line. And mascara from such a set will not be perfectly black, but will remain gray. To get the perfect drawing, you have to invest in tools. But here we are talking about professional quality.

The calligraphy kit is a great gift. If we are talking about an amateur, then such a gift will intrigue. Only when using such a set, the mood can deteriorate. The Chinese do not give such things to each other. Many beginners have faced this problem. Sellers assure the excellent quality of the goods, the absence of complaints, but the very first use will make it clear that the brushes are suitable only for painting, and not for filigree writing. High-quality sets are produced and sold in China; they are hard to find in Moscow. And they cost from $ 30. But in China itself, a set of brushes costs 1-5 dollars, but no one buys them here. In the land of hieroglyphs, quality and durability are valued.

Calligraphy came from the East. There are several schools of calligraphy. It occupies a special place in countries with ideographic writing. The Arabs learned to write beautifully by copying the Koran. Muslims brought the art of beautiful writing to India in the 15th and 16th centuries. But in Europe, calligraphy developed on the basis of Greco-Roman writing, since ancient times. The development of Christianity gave a great impetus to this art, because there was a need for massive copying of the Bible and religious books. In the 7th-9th centuries in Ireland and Scotland, monks generally created illuminated Gospels with ornaments and miniatures, real masterpieces of art. And Gothic writing was just calligraphy.

Calligraphy is an activity for adults. There are quite a few calligraphy circles for children from 4 years old. Experts believe that such a letter can strengthen the baby's fingers and prepare him for intensive work at an older age.

For a beginner, it makes no difference which font to start with. For beginners, all calligraphy books recommend starting with Edward Johnston's basic writing. After mastering it, you can move on to more complex options. But the base font isn't the simplest one. The early uncial is much more interesting, it attracts newbies with its exoticism and ease of writing. In general, it is recommended not to get stuck on any one option, but to constantly change fonts. And fine motor skills, developed in one case, will immediately transfer to another. Thus, at the same time, training takes place in writing several fonts at once and even those that have not yet been studied. As a result, an experienced calligrapher will be able to reproduce an unfamiliar font quite well even without preparation.

You can practice calligraphy without much frequency. If you have time for this, you should devote half an hour or an hour to calligraphy every day. The less often classes are held, the slower the skill will be formed. Any calligraphy practice will not go unnoticed. Something will be learned immediately, and something will come between lessons. There is no standard term for mastering writing - everyone has their own abilities. And there is no limit to perfection, even in a familiar font.

It makes no difference what to write - ink or ink. The mascara has a complex organic composition and is thicker. As a result, the symbols are obtained with a uniform black opaque fill. Such symbols rarely blur and resist water well. But you can't fill the pens with ink, and due to its origin, it can rot and disappear. Ink is a mineral liquid, odorless and without sediment. They can be used to fill both special fountain pens and brushes. It is easier to clean the tool after using ink. But this paint is more often diffused on paper, it needs a thicker one. The ink stroke is lighter than that of ink. Repeated strokes in the same area become visible, as will smudges due to uneven ink distribution.
